A backflow burner is a chimney with a decorative body around it. Smoke from a hollow-channel cone enters the chimney at the top, cools on the way down, exits heavier than the surrounding air and spills over the sculpted surface. Everything visually appealing about the product depends on one dimension being right: the bore of that chimney relative to the channel in the cone sitting on it.
That dimension is routinely absent from backflow burner specifications in this trade. That is why so much of the world stock of backflow product does not work. A buyer sources burners from one factory and cones from another, both are competently made, and a meaningful proportion of the pairs simply do not flow because the bore and the channel were never designed to meet. The customer blames the cone, returns the set, and leaves a review saying it is fake. We state the bore per model, and if you buy cones from us as well we verify the fit as a pair before packing.
The second thing to specify is what the base does with heat. A backflow burner runs a cone inside an enclosed ceramic body. And the base gets warmer than most buyers expect — warm enough to mark an unprotected wooden surface over repeated use. Retail returns for "it damaged my table" are avoidable with a felt or cork base and a line of insert copy. Both are cheaper than the return.

Probably, but the honest answer is that it depends on the bore. Send us the burner or measure its chimney bore in millimetres and we will cut the cone channel to match. If you would rather remove the risk entirely, buy the pair from us and we verify the fit before packing.
Does the burner get hot enough to damage furniture?
The base gets warmer than most buyers expect, because a cone burns inside an enclosed ceramic body rather than in open air. Over repeated use on an unprotected wooden surface that can mark. A felt or cork base and a line in the insert copy solve it. Both cost less than a single return.
Can we do custom ceramic shapes?
