Does the stand itself smell?
Aquilaria may have a faint natural aroma, but it varies by piece and is not a measured scent-output feature. Do not deliberately heat the holder or use it as fuel; keep the burning tip and embers clear.
Why natural oil rather than a protective lacquer?
Natural oil without lacquer is the specified finish. We do not publish a comparison proving all lacquers taint scent or that this finish is inert at every temperature. Follow safe-use instructions and keep the wood away from the burning tip.
