Japanese Koh-Grade Agarwood Incense Sticks — Wholesale

The Japanese market applies the strictest quality standards in the incense trade. The standards are not primarily about how good the material smells. They are about consistency: smoke volume, ash behaviour, dimensional uniformity, and above all reproducibility from batch to batch. A Japanese retailer building a shelf position needs this year's box to smell like last year's box, and a supplier who cannot deliver that will not hold the account regardless of how impressive an individual sample was.

Our koh-grade line is formulated against those expectations rather than against a price point. It uses a high-resin Aquilaria fraction, coreless construction, traditional makko ratios, and a 1.2 mm diameter held to ±0.05 mm — the tightest tolerance we run, because diameter variation translates directly into burn-time variation that is obvious in kōdō use. Format is 10.5 cm burning 20 to 24 minutes, which is what Japanese retail actually stocks.

The reproducibility discipline is the part that costs us and matters to you. We retain a sealed reference sample of every approved batch and assess each new production run against it with a trained panel before release. If a run drifts, it does not ship as koh grade. That is a slower and more expensive way to operate and it is the only way to hold a Japanese account.
