Amber Glass Dropper Bottle Wholesale — PTFE Liner, Leak Tested

Packaging for oud oil is a preservation problem dressed up as a design problem, and this SKU is specified accordingly. Three decisions carry almost all of the risk: glass colour, closure liner, and every material that touches the oil.

Amber glass first. Ultraviolet and short-wavelength visible light drive oxidation of the terpene fraction, and the visible consequence on a lit retail shelf is that the bright top notes vanish within months and the whole profile flattens. Amber blocks the damaging range effectively. Clear and frosted glass provide essentially none — and putting clear glass inside a decorative box does not help while the bottle is on display. If your merchandising needs a clear presentation, use a clear outer box around an amber inner bottle.

The closure is the failure nobody diagnoses. A standard polypropylene cap with an unlined or foam-lined insert slowly leaches into a concentrated aromatic oil, producing an off-note subtle enough that it gets attributed to the oil rather than the cap. PTFE is chemically inert and removes the pathway. The same logic applies to the dropper bulb: standard rubber degrades against neat oud within months and starts shedding into the bottle. We specify an inert elastomer bulb rather than standard rubber — a material choice, not something we have run a dated contact trial on ourselves.

Every bottle ships partitioned so no two touch, and cartons are packed to keep glass off the carton wall. A leaked bottle in this category is not a packaging complaint — at oud oil values it is a claim. And the freight and goodwill cost of one leaked carton exceeds the entire saving from cheaper packing.
