Batch-Traceable CO₂ Oud Extract — detail
Supercritical CO₂ extraction uses carbon dioxide under controlled pressure and temperature to extract material from resinous heartwood. Pressure release separates the CO₂ from the extract. Low-temperature processing is not the same as no heat, and a process description is not a residue test or a universal application approval.
The listed profile has a clean bright opening, woody-sweet heart and resinous base. Compare the actual batch with the hydro-distilled alternative in your own formulation. Raw material and processing vary, so neither an extraction name nor a market label guarantees the absence of a particular odour note.
A batch number and sealed retention sample provide traceability. COA and independent GC-MS are available on request after scope, sample and costs are agreed; they are not automatically issued for every lot. GC-MS can inform interpretation of certain components or additions within the method’s limits, but does not exclude every adulterant or prove origin by itself.
Start by requesting a 5 g quotation for the actual batch. After written sample approval, the agreed available quantity can be reserved under the buyer’s name for 30 days at no charge, with its quantity and start/end dates recorded. This does not automatically reserve the entire lot. The sealed reference sample is held three months from dispatch. Do not apply the undiluted oil directly to skin; review the product SDS and intended finished formulation.

How does CO₂ extract differ from hydro-distilled oud?
The processes differ and can produce different profiles. The CO₂ extract is described as bright and woody-sweet, while the hydro-distilled oil is described as fermented and resinous. Evaluate samples of the actual batches rather than assuming every lot follows one aroma rule.
Is there any residual solvent?
CO₂ separates when the process pressure is released. We do not publish a batch residue result proving the absence of every residue or impurity. If an application requires such evidence, agree the analytical scope and actual sample before ordering.
Is the GC-MS report specific to my batch?
When commissioned, the report must identify the sample and batch being supplied. It is not included automatically. Agree scope, laboratory, sampling and fees first; a report for a different sample does not establish the composition of your bottle.
